Relational Crisis Prevention
Relational Crisis Prevention is for those who care about, or for, children and adults whose behaviors can be difficult to mangage at times because of a diagnosis of autism, aspergers, ODD, dementia, or alzheimers.
Relational Crisis Prevention is for parents, special needs volunteers, church staff, teachers, direct care providers, or adovcates who believe in the inherent value of the person with a diagnosis and who value relationships.
Relational Crsis Prevention represents a Christian way of thinking about our relational role with persons in need. Jesus Christ said:
” A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34).
Relational Crisis Prevention is a Christ-like way of intervention–one based on strengthening relationships, developing and maintaining feelings of companionship, and an array of research-based strategies and techniques to manage challenging behaviors in a way that respects the image of God found in every person.
